A folded brochure carries a lot of information in a tidy package. Here's how to pick a fold and set up the artwork.
Which fold?
Tri-fold (DL) is the all-rounder for menus and service lists — six panels that fit a DL envelope. Half-fold (A5/A4) suits image-led pieces and price lists. Z-fold reads as a sequence or timeline.
Setting up panels
Supply a double-sided file with panels in fold order — two pages, the outside spread and the inside spread. On tri-folds the inner fold-in panel is 2–3mm narrower so it doesn't buckle; use our free template per format so the panels nest correctly. Keep text clear of the fold lines.
No cracking on the fold
Digital toner can crack white on a fold, especially on heavier stock. We crease before folding on our Duplo creaser, so even 250–300gsm laminated card folds cleanly.
Stock & turnaround
150gsm art is standard; laminated 250–300gsm for premium menus and rate cards. Standard turnaround is 2–4 working days with a same-day proof.
